National Institute of Technology (NIT), Calicut Invites Applications for Admission into Ph.D in Engineering Programs 2014

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for admission into full time and part time Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) program offered in various departments or schools such as for 2014.

Eligibility Conditions

For Engineering Programs

• M.Tech degree in Engineering/Technology in the appropriate branch of study with first class or minimum 60% marks (CGPA 6.5/10) [For SC/ST candidates, the minimum mark is 55% (CGPA 6.0/10)].

For Architecture Programs

• Master’s degree in Architecture/Design/Planning/ Engineering/Technology or its equivalent with first class or minimum 60% marks (CGPA 6.5/10) [For SC/ST candidates, the minimum mark is 55% (CGPA 6.0/10)].

How to Apply

• Candidates can apply online.
  
  
• If a candidate is applying for more than one discipline/school, submit separate application with DD, and DD of Rs.600 and Rs.300 (SC/ST) application fee drawn in favor of Director NIT Calicut payable at SBI, NIT Calicut Branch (Code No. 2207).

Selection Procedure

• The admission to Ph.D programs will be on the basis of written test and/or interview, by the respective department/school.

Important Dates

• Availability of online application in official website: 9^th May, 2014.
• Last date for receipt of completed applications in printed form: 15^th May, 2014.
• Test/interview: 13^th Jun, 2014 and 14^th Jun, 2014.
