National Institute of Technology Karnataka (NITK), Surathkal Invites Applications for Admission into M.Sc Programs 2014-15

Applications are invited from eligible candiates for admission into following programs for 2014-15.

• Master of Science (M.Sc) in Physics
• Master of Science (M.Sc) in Chemistry

Eligibility Conditions

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry /Physics with a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of at least 6.5 in the 0-10 scale grading system, or not less than 60% marks in the aggregate (taking into account the marks scored in all the subjects of all the public/ university examinations conducted during the entire prescribed period for the degree program). However, this prescribed minimum shall be a CGPA of 6.0 or 55% marks in the aggregate for SC/ST candidates.

• The completed application form should be sent to the Asst. Registrar (Academic) NITK, along with necessary DD for Rs.500 (in case of SC/ST Rs.150) drawn in favor of the Director, National Institute of Technology Karnataka, Surathkal payable at Mangalore.

Selection Procedure

• Selection of candidates will be done on the basis of their performance in the test and interview conducted by the institute.

Important Dates

• Last date of submission of the application form: 19^th May, 2014.
• Applications to be sent to the departments for processing: 21^st May, 2014.
• Last date for dispatch of call letters to short-listed candidates: 28^th May, 2014.
• Date of selection test/interview: 9^th Jun, 2014.
• Publication of provisional selection/merit-list on website: 12^th Jun, 2014.
