National Institute of Technology Karnataka (NITK), Surathkal Invites Applications for Admission into Ph.D Programs 2014-15

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for admission into following programs offered in various areas for 2014-15.

• Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Chemistry
• Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Physics
• Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Humanities
• Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Social Sciences

Eligibility Conditions

• Graduate and postgraduate degree in relevant field with a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of at least 6.5 in the 0-10 scale grading system, or not less than 60% marks in the aggregate (taking into account the marks scored in all the subjects of all the public/university examinations conducted during the entire prescribed period for the undergraduate and post graduate program are eligible to apply.

• The completed application form is to be sent to the Asst. Registrar (Academic) NITK, along with necessary D.D. for Rs.500/- (in case of SC/ST Rs.150/-) drawn in favour of the Director, National Institute of Technology Karnataka, Surathkal, Srinivasnagar, payable at Mangalore.

Important Dates

• Last date of submission of the application form: 16^th Jun, 2014.
• Applications to be sent to the departments for processing: 17^th Jun, 2014.
• Last date for dispatch of call letters to short-listed candidates: 23^rd Jun, 2014.
• Date of selection test/interview: 03^rd Jul, 2014 and 04^th Jul, 2014.
• Publication of provisional selection/merit-list on website: 09^th Jul, 2014.
