IGNOU Launches a New PG Certificate Course for the Instructors of Visually Impaired

School of Education of Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) invites application for an innovative Post Graduate Certificate in Information and Assistive Technologies for the Instructors of Visually Impaired (PGCIATIVI).

Eligibility Conditions

  • Aspiring candidates should have a Bachelor degree in Computer Science from a recognized university (BCA/BSc-Computer Science) OR
  • Bachelor degree in any discipline from a recognized university with diploma/certificate in Computer Science OR
  • Bachelor degree in any discipline from a recognized university subject to the condition that PGCIATIVI will only be awarded after successfully completing the CIT programme of IGNOU.

Duration of the Course

The duration of the PG Certificate in Information and Assistive Technologies for the Instructors of Visually Impaired (PGCIATIVI) programme is six months, however, student can complete it within a span of two years and there is no age bar. Medium of Instruction would be English.

Important Dates

Last date for application is:

  • 20th Jun,  2014 and with late fee of Rs 300/- till 31 July 2014.

Student Handbook and Prospectus is available at all the Regional Centers/ Study Centers of the university which can be obtained in person for Rs.200/-.
