Jamia Millia Islamia University (JMI), New Delhi Invites Applications for Admission into Ph.D in Engineering Programs 2014

Applications are invited from eligible canddiates for admission into Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) program in following Facilities for 2014.

• Faculties of Computer Engineering
• Faculties of Mechanical Engineering
• Faculties of Civil Engineering
• Faculties of Electrical Engineering
• Faculties of Electronics & Communication Engineering

Eligibility Conditions

• Masters degree with not less than 55% of marks of a university or a degree recognized by the university as its equivalent in the subject in which the candidate wishes to pursue a course of research or in a subject allied thereto.

• The application for admission shall be submitted to the Department/Centre concerned along with a Demand Draft of Rs.1000/- drawn in favor of The Registrar, Jamia Millia Islamia payable at Delhi/ New Delhi.

Selection Procedure

• Selection of candidates will be done on the basis of their performance in the entrance test conducted by the institute.
  
  
• Candidates who have qualified UGC/ CSIR NET/ JRF examination or any other equivalent examination conducted by the recognized governmental department/institute/ agency/ SLET / valid GATE score (with qualifying marks) or having successfully completed regular M. Phil. program from a recognized university / institution are exempted.

• Last date of submission of application form: 15^th Jul, 2014.
• Display of list of candidates, found eligible for admission test: 21^st Jul, 2014.
• Date of admission test: 9^th Aug, 2014.
• Display of list of candidates called for interview: 22^nd Aug, 2014.
