Gauhati University Invites Applications for Admission into B.Tech.

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for admission into its 4 years B.Tech., lateral entry to B.Tech. and 2 years full time and part time M.Tech. into following programme programs for 2014.

• Biotechnology
• Electronics & Communication
• Information Technology

Eligibility Conditions

For Lateral Entry to B.Tech. Program

• 3-year Polytechnic Diploma or equivalent in the concerned branch with first class or equivalent grade.

For M.Tech. in Biotechnology Program

• B.Tech. / M.Sc. (Biotechnology and / or allied subjects).

For M.Tech. in Electronics & Communication Program

• M.Sc. (El.Sc. / ECT / Instrumentation) or B.Tech. / B.E. in Electronics & Communication / Instrumentation / Electrical or equivalent.

How to Apply

• Candidates can obtain the application form from official website.
  
  
• An amount of Rs.200/- only as fee for the entrance test for each subject in the form of demand draft in favour of GUIST payable at Guwahati, or in cash in the GU SBI cash counter in favour of GUIST will have to be deposited in the respective department at the time of submission of application form.

Selection Procedure

• Candidates will be selected on the basis of their performance in the entrance test conducted by the institute.
• For M.Tech. part time category, minimum 3 years professional experience required.

Important Dates

• Last date of submission of the application form: 18^th Jul, 2014.
• Date of entrance test: 26^th Jul, 2014.
