Tamil Nadu Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (TANUVAS), Chennai Invites Applications for Admission into Ph.D Programs 2014

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for admission into Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) program in Veterinary & Animal Sciences and Food Technology for 2014.

Eligibility Conditions

For Ph.D in Food Technology Program

• Candidates with M.Sc in Food Technology, Food Science and Technology, Post Harvest Technology, Food Processing Technology, Food Process Engineering, Dairy Technology, Dairy Engineering, Biochemistry/Food Chemistry and candidates with master degree in Food Technology related engineering subjects shall be eligible to apply.
  

For Ph.D in Animal Biotechnology Program

• Candidates with M.V.Sc degree in any field of specialization (except Animal Husbandry Economics, Veterinary and Animal Husbandry Extension and Animal Husbandry Statistics) or M.Sc. degree in Biotechnology with basic BV.Sc & AH degree recognised as equivalent thereto shall be eligible to apply.

• Application form should be sent with registration fee (Rs.300/- for SC/ST and Rs.600/- for others).
  
  
• Registration fee should be sent only in the form of demand draft drawn in favour of “Finance Officer, TANUVAS, Chennai-51” payable at Chennai.

Selection Procedure

• Candidates will be selected based on the marks obtained in the entrance examination and other criteria as detailed below:
  • Entrance examination - 75
  • OGPA in M.V.Sc / M.Tech (FT) - 40
  • Service / experience - 10
  • Publications - 15
  • Medals / awards - 10
  • Total marks 150
