Annamalai University, Chidambaram Invites Applications for Admission into M.Phil. & PhD

Applications are invited for admission into full time M.Phil. and full time, part time (internal), part time (external/India/overseas) PhD in Science, Arts, Marine Sciences, Indian Languages, Education and Fine Arts programmes offered in various disciplines for 2014-15.

Eligibility Conditions

• Master’s degree under (11+1)/(10+2) + 3 + 2 and (10+2) + 5 pattern of courses of study are eligible. Candidates who have passed master’s degree through Open University system are not eligible to apply.

How to Apply

• Candidates can obtain the application form
  
  
• Application form along with the prospectus to the candidates will be available at University Cash Counter in all working days.
  
  
• Cost of application form is Rs.1500/-.
  
  
• Application can also be obtained by sending demand draft for Rs.1550/- (including Rs.50/- towards postage) drawn in favour of “The Registrar, Annamalai University”, obtained from any bank payable at Chennai.
  
  
• In case of downloaded application a demand draft for Rs.1500/- towards the cost of application should be enclosed along with the filled in application.

Selection Procedure

• The selection of candidates for admission shall be based on both a written test and an interview.
  
  
• For PhD program, candidates with M.Phil. degree from an approved university, UGCJRF / NET / SLET / GATE / CSIR / ICAR / ICSSR qualified candidates and teacher fellowship holders are exempted from the entrance test but they have to appear for the interview.

• Last date for issue of application form: 1^st Sep, 2014.
• Last date of receipt of the application form: 5^th Sep, 2014.
