Applications are invited from eligible candidates  for admission into regular, direct, interdisciplinary, external/part-time Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) program offered in the following department for 2015.

• Aerospace
• Applied Mechanics
• Biotechnology

• Humanities and Social Sciences
• Mathematics
• Mechanical
• Ocean
• Physics

Eligibility Conditions

For Ph.D in Sciences Programs

• Master’s degree in Sciences with a good academic record and having a valid GATE score or UGC/CSIR NET/NBHM or equivalent qualification tenable for the current year in the relevant area.

For Ph.D in Humanities and Social Sciences Program

• Master’s degree in an eligible discipline with a good academic record or equivalent and having a valid GATE score or UGC/CSIR NET/NBHM or equivalent qualification tenable for the current year in the relevant area.

• Application fee of Rs.200/- is to be paid online (Rs.100 only for SC/ST/physically challenged & women candidates) (non-refundable).

Important Dates

• Last date for online application: 21^st Oct, 2014.
• Date of test/interview: on or before 21^st Nov, 2014 to 28^th Nov, 2014.
