University of Calcutta invites applications for admission to Ph.D program

CU, Kolkata has invited application for admission to its  Ph.D program in Chemistry for the November 2014 session.

Eligibility Conditions

The candidate should have cleared any of  the NET/SET/SLET/ GATE/Teacher Fellowship/equivalent examination, or passed the M. Phil. / M. Tech. / equivalent examination.

Selection Process:   

Candidates will be selected on the basis of a written MCQ exam of 1 hour duration.

Selection Test Pattern

Test will be based on B. Sc. (Hons.) and M. Sc. Syllabi of this University. Separate sets of questions will be there to suit the specializations of the candidates.

Successful candidates will be called for an interview/ counseling on the same day.

The final selection will be made on the basis of the overall performance of the candidates.

How to apply:

The candidates should apply in the format given in the official notification after paying Rs.100 in the university cash counter through a challan obtainable from the cash counter at CU.
