Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar Invites Aplications for Admission to PGDM, Rural, Human Resource Management and Doctoral Programme

Eligible Candidates are Invited for Admission to the Following Programmes for the Academic session 2012 – 2014

• Two-year full-time programme for Postgraduate Diploma in Management (PGDM)
• Two-year full-time programme for Postgraduate Diploma in Management (Human Resource) (PGDM-HR)
• Two-year full-time programme for Postgraduate Diploma in Rural Management (PGDM-RM)
• Doctoral-level Fellow Programme in Management (FPM)

Eligibility Conditions :

For PGDM, PGDM Human Resource and PGDM-RM: The minimum requirement for admission to the Programme is a three-year Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in any discipline with at least 50% marks in aggregate from a recognised university/ deemed university. Candidates who expect to complete the final part of their degree examinations by 15^th June, 2012, can also apply.

For FPM : Post-graduates in any discipline (or professional field) related to management with at least 55% marks (or working graduate engineers with at least 55% marks, having at least 2 years of work experience) are eligible to apply for the full-time FPM. In case the score is available on a letter-grade system, the Institute expects a minimum cumulative score of 4.80 on an 8-point scale (or 6.00 on a 10-point scale). Although the eligibility is defined in these terms, the Institute prefers applicants who have excellent academic record as well as rich managerial experience.

How To Apply

Applicants also have to fill up the online application form separately for XIMB programme at: http://www.ximb.ac.in Upon successfully filling the online application form, the Payment Advice Form can be downloaded. The applicant must take a printout of the same payment advice form and mail it to the Admissions Office, Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar-751013, accompanied by the application fee (non - refundable) in one of the following ways:

• Money Receipt issued by IMS/Career Launcher/T.I.M.E. coaching centres, after paying Rs.1000/- in cash     OR
• Original Bank Pay-in-slip Counterfoil, after depositing Rs.1000/- (in cash) at any State Bank of India core branch in the Current A/c No. 30834687536 of Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar;      OR
• A Demand Draft for Rs.1000/- made out in favour of Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar.

On receipt of the Money Receipt issued by IMS/Career Launcher/ T.I.M.E. centres or Bank Pay-in-slip Counterfoil or DD for the required amount and the Payment Advice Form, the Bulletin 2012 will be mailed to the applicant (except to those who have paid at IMS/T.I.M.E. centres). The last date for applying online is 21^st Nov, 2011, and for receiving the application fee it is 30^th Nov, 2011.

It may be noted that besides registering for XAT/CAT, one has to apply (online) separately to XIM, Bhubaneswar.

Admission Process

Admission Test for PGDM

Applicants are required to take any one of the Admission Tests:

• XAT to be conducted by XLRI, Jamshedpur, on 8^th Jan, 2012.    Or
• CAT to be conducted by IIMs during 22^nd Oct. – 18^th Nov, 2011. Applicants have to follow XAT/CAT advertisements respectively and apply in time. Registering for XAT/CAT is a prerequisite for applying to XIMB.

Admission Test for PGDM Rural Management

Applicants are required to take one of the Admission Tests:

• XAT 2012
• CAT 2011
• Institute of Rural Management Anand (IRMA), on 13^th Nov , 2011

For FPM : The applicant must write any one of the following written tests: CAT, UGC NET, XAT, GATE*, or the XIMB Research Aptitude Test (XIMB-RAT). For the purpose of FPM admission valid CAT, GATE* and XAT scores will be considered. XIMB-RAT will be conducted only at Bhubaneswar.
