Indian School of Mines (ISM), Dhanbad Invites Applications for Admission into M.Tech Programs 2015

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for admission into Master of Technology (M.Tech) program offered at various departments for 2015-16.

Eligibility Conditions

For M.Tech programs

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering/ Technology or equivalent from institutes recognized by UGC/AICTE or a master’s degree in Science.
  
  
• Minimum 55% or CGPA/CPI of 5.5 in 10 point scale (without rounding off) in the qualifying degree for UR/OBC candidates.
  
  
• Minimum 50% or CGPA/CPI of 5.0 in 10 point scale (without rounding off) in the qualifying degree for SC/ST candidates.
  
  
• The candidate must be below the age of 30 years (35 years for women, PC, SC, ST & OBC).

• The application fee for M.Tech program is Rs.2000/- for UR/OBC candidates and Rs.1000/- for SC/ST/PC candidates.

  The envelope containing the application form and other necessary documents should be superscribed with “Application for Admission in M.Tech-2015”.

Selection Procedure

• The admission to different M.Tech programs for GATE candidates will be made through counseling on the basis of their GATE score.
  
  
• Non-GATE or GATE not qualified and sponsored candidates must qualify the ISM Entrance Examination (ISM–EE) conducted by ISM at different centres all over the country.

Important Dates

• Last date of submission of online application form: 28^th Mar, 2015.
• Last date for the receipt of completed application form at ISM: 07^th Apr, 2015.
• Issue of call letter for written test /counseling letter for GATE candidates: 28^th Apr, 2015.
• Written test for ISM-EE: 10^th May, 2015.
• Counseling/admission of GATE candidates: 15^th May, 2015 and 16^th May, 2015.
• Declaration of Results of written test: 07^th Jun, 2015.
