University of Calcutta (CU), Kolkata Invites Applications for Admission into Ph.D Geography Program 2015

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for admission into Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Geography offered at the Department of Geography for 2015. 

Eligibility Conditions

• Master’s degree in Geography from a UGC recognised university. 

How to Apply

• Filled-in form, accompanied by a one-page research proposal and copies of MA/M.Sc mark-sheet and NET/ SET/ SLET/ M.Phil certificate (if applicable), will have to be submitted at the Department Office after paying the prescribed fee at the University cash counter. Before that, the payment challan has to be endorsed by the HoD. 

Selection Procedure

• The admission procedure consists of a Research Eligibility Test-Written Part (RET–WP) followed by an interview for candidates successful in the same.
• Candidates who cleared NET/ SET/ SLET / M.Phil are exempted from appearing in RET–WP and should directly appear for RET–Oral Part (RET–OP) interview. 

Important Dates

• Last date of submission of application form: 12^th Aug, 2015.
• Display of the list of eligible candidates: 17^th Aug, 2015.
• Date of RET–WP: 21^st Aug, 2015.
