National Institute of Technology (NIT), Arunachal Pradesh Invites Applications for Admission into Ph.D Programs 2015

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for admission into following programme for 2015-16. 

• Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Computer Science & Engineering
• Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Electrical Engineering
• Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Mathematics
• Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Physics
• Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Chemistry 

Eligibility Conditions 

• M.Tech/ M.E.in relevant discipline with at least 6.5 CGPA in 10 point scale or 60 percent marks in aggregate in the M.E/ M.Tech level from a recognized technical institute or university.
  
  
• B.Tech/ B.E. in relevant discipline with at least 7.0 CGPA or 65 percent marks in aggregate from a recognized technical institute or university.
  
  
• M.Sc. in relevant discipline with at least 6.5 CGPA in 10 point scale or 60 percent marks in aggregate from a recognized institute or university.
  
  
• The minimum CGPA/marks to be relaxed by 0.5 CGPA or 5 percent in case of candidates belonging to the SC/ST categories.
  
  
• For admission to Engineering and Science disciplines (except Life Science), a candidate should have passed Mathematics in +2 Science.
  
  
• Science students admitted to Ph.D. program in Engineering need Mathematics in +3 level

Selection Procedure

• All shortlisted candidates should take a written admission test/ viva voce conducted in the concerned department. 

Important Dates

• Last date for receipt of application forms: 25^th Aug, 2015.
• Publication of the list of short listed candidates: 30^th Aug, 2015.
• Date of written test, screening & viva-voce: 03^rd Sep, 2015 to 04^th Sep, 2015.
