• Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Mass Communication& Electronic Media
• Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Computational Biology & Bio Informatics
• Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Mathematics
• Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Library Science
• Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Physics & Astronomical Sciences
• Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Social Work and History of Art
• Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Art Education & Art Appreciation 

Eligibility Conditions

• Candidates should have a minimum of 55% marks or an equivalent grade in Masters/PG degree from a recognized University or an equivalent examination.

• Hard Copy: In case a candidate is not able to apply online, he/she may download/obtain the application form from the University and send the duly filled-up application form along with a non-refundable application fee through demand draft payable at Dharamshala, District 

Selection Procedure

Selection of candidates will be done in two ways:

• In the first place, the vacant seats for PhD programs of study in various disciplines shall be filled on merit of composite score which shall be calculated as under:
  • Academic Score (40%)
  • Research Qualification (40%)
  • Personal Interview (20%)
• In case the seats for PhD program of study in various disciplines remain unfilled after following the procedure mentioned above, the vacant seats shall be filled on merit of composite score which shall be calculated as under:
  • Academic Score: 40 %
  • Entrance Test (TREAT): 40 %
  • Personal Interview: 20 % 

Important Dates

• Last date for receipt of applications: 16^th Oct, 2015.
• Display of List of Candidates to be called for Interview: 26^th Oct, 2015.
• Date of Personal Interview: 02^nd Nov 2015 and Tuesday, November 03^rd Nov, 2015.
• Display of First Selection List along with Waiting List: 03^rd Nov, 2015.
• List of shortlisted candidates and dates for Entrance Test (TREAT) and Personal Interview: 19^th Nov, 2015.
• Date of TREAT: 01^st Dec, 2015.
• Date of Personal Interview for candidates who appeared in entrance test (TREAT): 01^st Dec, 2015 and 02^nd Dec, 2015
