Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology (VNIT), Nagpur Invites Applications for Admission into Ph.D Programs 2016

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for admission into following programme for the commencing session 2016. 

• Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Engineering
• Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Architecture & Planning
• Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Applied Sciences
• and under Visvesvaraya Ph.D. Scheme of Department of Electronics & Information Technology (DeitY) 

Eligibility Conditions

For Ph.D in Mathematics

• M.Sc. in Mathematics / Applied Mathematics with a minimum of first class (C.P.I. or C.G.P.A. greater than 6.75 on a 10 point scale) at master’s level.

For Ph.D in Humanities and Social Sciences

• M.A. / MBA in English / Sociology /Psychology / Management with a minimum of first class.

For Ph.D in Physics

• master’s degree in the concerned or an allied subject with a minimum of first class (C.P.I. or C.G.P.A. greater than 6.75 on a 10 point scale) at bachelor’s or master’s level.

Selection Procedure

• Selection will be based on their performance in the written test and interview conducted by the institute.

• Last date for submission of application forms: 10^th Nov, 2015.
• Display of list of eligible candidates: 20^th Nov, 2015.
• Date of written test: 27^th Nov, 2015.
• Date of interview: 27^th Nov, 2015 and 28^th Nov, 2015.
