Indian Institute of Astrophysics (IIA), Bangalore Invites Applications for Admission into Ph.D Programs 2016

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for admission into Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) program offered jointly with Pondicherry Central University and Integrated M.Tech- Ph.D offered jointly with University of Calcutta for 2016. 

Eligibility Conditions     

• Students who expect to complete their M.Sc., Integrated M.Sc. or B.E./B.Tech./M.E./M.Tech degrees by August 2016 with a consistently good academic record.

Selection Procedure

• Selection of candidates will be based on the performance in their IIA Screening Test (IIAST) conducted by the institute. Candidates short listed based on their performance in the IIAST will be called for personal interview in IIA, Bangalore. 

Important Dates

• Last date to apply online: 20^th Nov, 2015.
• Date of IIAST: 12^th Dec, 2015.
• Declaration of result: 18^th Dec, 2015.
• The interview for Ph.D will be held in: January 2016.
• The interview for M.Tech.Ph.D will be held in: May 2016.
