Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kanpur Invites Applications for Admission into MBA Programs 2016

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for admission into 21 month full time following program for 2016-17.

Eligibility Conditions

For General and OBC Applicants

B. Tech. or B.E. or B. Arch. (with Mathematics as one of the subjects in class XII), or four year degree program leading to B. Sc. Engineering (with Mathematics as one of the subjects in the UG program), or four year degree program leading to B.Sc degree (with Mathematics as one of the subjects in the UG program), or M.Sc (with Mathematics as one of the subjects in the UG program), or M.A in Economics (with Mathematics as one of the subjects in the UG program) with aggregate of 65% or a CPI of 6.5 on a scale of 10 from any AICTE recognized institute/university, IITs, NITs, and IIITs.
65% and above in class X and class XII examinations.
Overall CAT-2015 score of 85 percentile and above.

For SC and ST Applicants

B.Tech or B.E or B.Arch. (with Mathematics as one of the subjects in class XII), or four year degree program leading to B. Sc. Engineering (with Mathematics as one of the subjects in the UG program), or four year degree program leading to B.Sc degree (with Mathematics as one of the subjects in the UG program), or M.Sc (with Mathematics as one of the subjects in the UG program), or M.A in Economics (with Mathematics as one of the subjects in the UG program) with aggregate of 55% or a CPI of 5.5 on a scale of 10 from any AICTE recognized institute/university, IITs, NITs, and IIITs.
Overall CAT-2015 score of 75 percentile and above.
55% and above in class X and class XII examinations.
Candidates appearing for the final degree examination can also apply.

How to Apply

Candidates can apply online from the day after the declaration of CAT-2015 Results.
Candidates should send demand draft in favor of Registrar, IIT Kanpur payable at Kanpur. The application fees for general and OBC candidates is Rs.1600/- and for SC/ST/PH is Rs.800/-.

Selection Procedure

Applicant must appear for the CAT 2015 examination conducted by IIMs.
Candidates will be selected on the basis of the rank/score obtained in the CAT-2015, Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI).

Important Dates

Commencement of online application: the day after the declaration of CAT-2015 Results.
Last date for submission of online application form: 25^th Jan, 2016.
Last date for the receipt of demand draft and printout of the completed online application form: 29^th Jan, 2016.
Announcement of shortlisted candidates for GD/PI: 17^th Feb, 2016.
Date ofGD/PI: 31^st Mar, 2016 to 03^rd Apr, 2016.
Declaration of Results: 10^th May, 2016.
