Vellore Institute of Technology University (VIT), Vellore Invites Applications for Admission into M.Tech (by Research) Programs 2016

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for admission into Master of Technology (M.Tech) program by research offered at Chennai campus for the session 2016. 

Note: The minimum period of study and research required from the date of registration for the M.Tech (by Research) program to the date of submission of thesis will be 24 months for full-time research scholars and 36 months for part-time research scholars. 

Eligibility Conditions

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology or master’s degree in Science or master’s degree in Computer Applications (with Physics & Mathematics at bachelor’s level) with a first class or a minimum 60% marks/CGPA 6.5 on a 10 point scale in cases where the university/institute does not award any class.

• Application fee Rs.950/- can be paid by Netbanking/Credit/Debit card. In case you want to pay through demand draft, keep the DD on hand before filling the application form.

Selection Procedure

• The candidates, who satisfy the criteria prescribed, will be called for a written test and interview to be conducted at the university campus (Chennai) in the respective school/centre.
• Selection will be based on the previous academic performance and the performance in the test and interview. 

Important Dates

• Last date of issue of application form: 04^th Dec, 2015.
• Date of written test and interview at VIT University, Chennai: 12^th Dec, 2015.
• Last date of payment of fees for selected candidates: 08^th Jan, 2016.
