Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST), Thiruvananthapuram Invites Applications for Admission into Ph.D Programs 2016

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for admission into following area for the session 2016. 

• Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Aerospace Engineering
• Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Avionics
• Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Earth and Space Sciences
• Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Chemistry
• Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Humanities
• Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Mathematics
• Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Physics 

Eligibility Conditions

• Candidates should be below 28 years as on 30^th Nov, 2015.
  
  
• Master’s degree in Engineering / Technology or Science or Humanities must have secured first class or equivalent in the master’s degree. And they must have qualified UGC/CSIR NET/JEST (or) GATE in the relevant disciplines.
  
  
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology with an excellent academic record and aptitude for research may be considered for direct admission to the Ph.D. program. Such candidates must have secured CGPA of 9.0/10 or better and a valid GATE score of 675 or better.

• Application fee is to the extent of Rs.250/- per department code (for SC/ST/PWD and women - Rs.125/- per department code).

Selection Procedure

• Candidates are shortlisted taking into account their best GATE/NET scores as applicable. Final selection is based on written test or interview, which will be conducted at IIST

• Last date for online submission of applications: 04^th Dec, 2015.
• Last Date for Payment of application fee and uploading the challan: 08^th Dec, 2015.
• Date of test and interview: 15^th Dec, 2015.
