University of Madras, Institute of Distance Education (MU-IDE), Chennai Invites Applications for Admission into Distance UG/PG Programs 2016

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for admission into 3 years and 2 years following distance programme for the session 2016. 

• Bachelor of Arts (B.A)
• Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com)
• Bachelor of Multimedia (BMM)
• Bachelor of Science (B.Sc)
• Bachelor of Music (B.Music)
• Bachelor of Literature (B.Lit)
• Bachelor of Naturopathy (B.Nat)
• Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA)
• Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA)
• 2 years Master of Arts (M.A)
• Master of Commerce (M.Com)
• Master of Music (M.Music)
• Master of Science (M.Sc) 

Eligibility Conditions

For UG Programs

• The pre-university examination conducted previously by the University of Madras or any other university accepted as equivalent thereof by the authorities, University of Madras.
  
  
• The higher secondary examination (academic or vocational stream) conducted by the Government of Tamil Nadu or other states or union territories or an examination accepted as equivalent thereof by the authorities, University of Madras.

For PG Programs

• Candidates who have passed the three year undergraduate degree courses through the universities recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC) with 15 years duration either under 10 + 2 + 3 or 11 + 1 + 3 or 11 + 2 + 2 or 11 years S.S.L.C. plus one year P.U.C. or 10 years S.S.L.C. plus 2 years pre-degree/P.U.C./intermediate/higher secondary examination under 10 + 2 + 3 pattern are eligible to apply. 

How to Apply

• The cost of application form is Rs.100/- which should be paid along with registration fee of Rs.150/-, if downloaded through website.

Candidates can also obtain the application form

• In Person: Rs.100/- by cash at the institute / study centres / spot admission centres /participatory institutions.
• By Post: Rs.150/- by demand draft drawn in favour of The Director, IDE, University of Madras, payable at Chennai.
  
  
• The application form duly filled-in and signed by the candidate along with all the original certificates for admission together with registration fee of Rs.100/- by means of challan paid through the designated banks or by means of demand draft in favour of The Director, IDE, University of Madras, Chennai - 600005 be submitted to the concerned co-coordinators in case of candidates seeking admission through spot admission centres /10 study centres / participating institutions.
