Vinayaka Missions University (VMU), Salem Invites Applications for Admission into PG in Medical Program for 2016

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for admission into following programs under various specializations for the session 2016. 

• Doctor of Medicine (MD)
• Master of Surgery (MS)
• Master of Dental Surgery (MDS)
• Master of Physiotherapy (MPT)
• Master of Science (M.Sc) in Nursing
• Master of Pharmacy (M.Pharm) 

Eligibility Conditions 

For MD/MS Programs

• Candidates should possess a recognized MBBS degree or its equivalent and have completed Internship (CRRI). Candidate should have registered his/her name with anyone of the State Medical Councils

For MDS Program

• BDS degree examination of any recognized university and obtained permanent registration from any of the State Dental Councils.

For MPT Program

• Graduation degree in BPT or B.Sc (PT).

For M.Pharm Program

• B.Pharm degree.

For M.Sc (Nursing) Program:

• The candidate should be a registered nurse and registered midwife or equivalent with any State Nursing Council.
  
  
• B.Sc (Nursing) / B.Sc Hons. Nursing/ Post Basic B.Sc Nursing with minimum of 55% aggregate marks (50% for SC/ST candidates) from a institution which is recognized by Indian Nursing Council.

How to Apply

• Candidates can obtain the application form from the university in person on payment of cash or can also be downloaded from their official website.
  
  
• The filled in application form must be submitted along with a DD for the prescribed amount drawn in favour of  Vinayaka Missions University, Salem.
  
  
• Cost of application form for MD/MS/MDS programs: Rs.2000/-.
  
  
• Cost of application form for M.Pharm/M.Sc (Nursing) programs: Rs.1000/-.

Selection Procedure

• Selection will be based on the basis of their performance in All India Common Entrance Examination. 

Important Dates

For MD/MS/MDS Programs:

• Last date for issue and receipt of filled in application form: 21^st Jan, 2016.
• Date of entrance examination: 29^th Jan, 2016.

For M.Pharm/M.Sc (Nursing) Programs:

• Last date for issue and receipt of filled in application form: 16^th Jun, 2016.
• Date of entrance examination: 23^rd Jun, 2016
