Forest Research Institute (FRI), Dehradun Invites Applications for Admission into M.Sc Programs 2016

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for admission into following programe for 2016. 

• Master of Science (M.Sc) in Forestry
• Master of Science (M.Sc) in Wood Science & Technology
• Master of Science (M.Sc) in Environment Management
• Master of Science (M.Sc) in Cellulose & Paper Technology 

Eligibility Conditions

For M.Sc in Forestry Program

• Bachelor’s degree in science with at least one of the subjects namely Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Zoology or a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture or Forestry

For M.Sc in Wood Science & Technology Program

• Bachelor’s degree with Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry or B.Sc degree in Forestry.

For M.Sc in Environment Management Program

• Bachelor’s degree in any branch of basic or applied Sciences or bachelor’s degree in Forestry or Agriculture or BE/B.Tech in Environment Science.

For M.Sc in Paper Technology Program

• Bachelors degree in Science with Chemistry as one of the subjects or BE/B.Tech (Chemical or Mechanical Engineering).

• Information Bulletin and application form can be obtained by post by submitting a Bank Draft for Rs. 1200/- payable at Dehradun in favour of Registrar, FRI (Deemed) University, P.O.I.P.E., Kaulagarh Road, Dehradun–248195.
  
  
• Application forms will also be available from the counter of the Union Bank of India (FRI Branch, Dehra Dun).

Selection Procedure

• Candidates will be selected on the basis of their performance in the admission test conducted by the institute. 

Important Dates

• Last date for issue of application forms by post: 21^st Mar, 2016.
• Last date for issue of application forms from Institute’s/bank counter: 31^st Mar, 2016.
• Last date for receiving completed application forms: 04^th Apr, 2016.
• Date of admission test: 08^th May, 2016.
