Indian Institute of Technoloy (IIT), Delhi Invites Applications for Admission into PG Programs 2016

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for admission into following full time and part time programs offered under various specializations for 2016. 

• Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D)
• Master of Technology (M.Tech)
• Master of Science (M.S by Research)
• Master of Design (M.Des) 

Eligibility Conditions

For Ph.D Program

• Candidates should have 60% marks or 6.75 CGPA on a 10-point scale in M.Tech/ M.E/ M.D/ M.Sc/ MBA/ M.A/ M.B.B.S or 70% marks or 7.5 CGPA on a 10-point  in B.E./B.Tech or equivalent scale.

For M.Tech/ M.S Programs

• B.E/B.Tech/ M.Sc or equivalent with 75% marks or 8.5 CGPA on a 10-point scale.

For M.Des Programs

• B.E/B.Tech/ B.Arch or equivalent with 75% marks or 8.5 CGPA on a 10-point scale.

• Candidates belonging to general/ OBC category are required to pay for each application form a fees of Rs. 200/- and the candidates belonging to SC/ST/PH categories are required to pay Rs.50/-.

Selection Procedure

• Selection will be based on the basis of test/ interviews conducted by the institute. 

Financial Assistance at IIT, Delhi

For Ph.D Programs

• Candidates will receive Rs. 25,000/- p.m for the first 2 years of registration (JRF) and Rs.28,000/- p.m for the next 3 years of registration (SRF).

For M.Tech/M.S/M.Des Programs

• Students admitted to M.Tech/ M.S (Research) and M.Des programs on full-time basis are considered for the award of Teaching Assistantship under which they will be paid Rs.12,400/- per month and would be required to provide assistance of 8 hours/week to the Department/Centre.

• Last date for submission of online application: 31^st Mar, 2016.
• Range of dates for test/interview: 12^th May, 2016 to 09^th Jun, 2016.
