NIT Silchar invites application for PhD program 2016

The National Institute of Technology, Silchar has invited applications for admissions to Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) programme offered in:

• Civil Engineering
• Mechanical Engineering
• Electrical Engineering
• Electronics & Communication Engineering
• Computer science and Engineering
• Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering
• Humanities and social sciences
• Mathematics
• Chemistry and 
• Physics for the session July-December 2016.

Educational Qualification:

Aspiring candidates should have acquired a Master's degree in Engineering from a recognised university or institute.

Selection Procedure:

The selection of candidates will be based on their performance in the interview.

How to apply:

Aspiring candidates should submit the application along with the necessary documents to the heads of the respective department.

Application Fee:

An application fee of Rs.500 and Rs. 300 needs to be paid by the general and SC/ST candidates respectively, for the registration procedure. The candidates can make the payment through demand draft, drawn in favour of Director, NIT Silchar, payable at Silchar.
