Amrita University invites application for BSc/MSc admissions 2016

Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham University, Coimbatore has invited applications for  its three years Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) in Biotechnology, Microbiology and two years Master of Science (M.Sc) in Biotechnology, Microbiology and Bioinformatics for the commencing academic session 2016-17.

Eligibility Conditions

Educational Qualification:

For B.Sc programme in Biotechnology and Microbiology:
Aspiring candidates must have passed in higher secondary examination or its equivalent with 60% marks in physics, chemistry and biology/biotechnology taken together.

For M.Sc Bioinformatics programme:
Aspiring candidates must have a graduation degree in any discipline of science including mathematics, engineering or medicine. Background in mathematics or computer science will be preferred. 

For M.Sc Microbiology and Biotechnology programmes:
Aspiring  candidates must have done graduation in any discipline of biological sciences, engineering (biotechnology), medicine or equivalent with background in biology. 

Selection Procedure

For B.Sc programmes: The candidates will be selected on the basis of marks obtained in higher secondary or equivalent board examination.

For M.Sc programmes: On the basis of marks obtained in higher secondary or equivalent board examination, candidates will be shortlisted for a personal interview at Amrita School of Biotechnology.
