NIT Calicut invites applications for PhD admission 2016

NIT  Calicut has invited application for admission to Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) programmes in Architecture, Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Civil Engineering and a few others.

Eligibility Conditions

Educational Qualification:

For Ph.D Engineering Programmes:

Aspiring candidates need to have a degree in Master of Technology (M.Tech) in Engineering/Technology in the appropriate branch of study with minimum 60% marks and Cumulative Grade Points Average (CGPA) of 6.5 out of 10 OR

The candidates should have passed a four-year regular full time Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.)/Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) with minimum 60% marks in aggregate in the qualifying examination.

Also, the candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or in relevant discipline with a minimum 9.0 CGPA or 90 percent from a recognised institute or university and a valid GATE score.

For Ph.D Architecture programmes:

The candidate should have a Master's degree in Architecture/Design/Planning/Engineering/Technology or its equivalent with minimum 60 percent marks with a CGPA  of 6.5 out of 10.

Also, the candidates should possess minimum 60 percent marks with CGPA of 6.5 out of 10 or equivalent both in Bachelor's and Master's degrees.

Selection Procedure:

Candidates will be selected on the basis of written test and/or interview, by the institute.

Application Fee:

All the candidates from the general and OBC category need to pay Rs 600.  The applicants from SC/ST category need to pay Rs 300.
