Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) is a statutory body under Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, Govt. of India. BIS is the National Standards Body of India and is responsible for activities in the field of Standardization, Product and System Certification, Hallmarking of Gold/Silver Jewellery, Laboratory Testing etc., in the country. BIS is also responsible for Standardization and Certification at the International level.

Name of the post: Trainee 

Age Limit

• Below 35 years of age as on 1st January 2018 

Eligibility Conditions 

Graduate Engineer

• B. Tech in engineering or equivalent in relevant subject, the details of which are provided in Annexure I, granted by a University or Institute recognized by the State Govt. or Central Govt. 

Science Graduate Trainee

• Graduation in natural sciences or equivalent in the relevant subject, the details of which are provided in Annexure II, granted by a University or Institute recognized by the State Govt. or Central Govt. 

Diploma Trainee

• A Diploma in Engineering or Technology in the relevant subject, the details of which are provided in Annexure III, granted by a State Council or Board of Technical Education 

Selection Process

• Candidates will be selected based on Interview.
