Indian Railways invites application for 1120 vacancies in RPF for 2018

The Indian Railways has invited online applications for filling up 1120 vacancies for Sub-Inspectors (SI) under a recruitment drive for Railway Protection Force (RPF) and Railway Protection Special Force (RPSF).

Eligibility Conditions

Educational Qualification
Aspiring candidates should have completed their graduation from a recognised university.

Physical Measurement (Height):

• For UR/OBC: 165 cms for males, 157cms for women
• For SC/ST: 160cms for males, 152cms for women
• For Garhwalis, Gorkhas, Marathas, Dogras, Kumaonese and other Categories specified by Govt: 163cms for males, 155cms for women

Selection Process

Candidates will be selected on a Computer-based Test (CBT) which will be conducted to fill 819 vacancies for male and 301 for female candidates.

Pay Scale and Allowances

Selected candidates will get an initial payment of Rs. 35,400 plus other allowances admissible at that time under Level 6 of 7th Pay Commission.

The recommendations of the 7th Pay Commission was approved by the Union Cabinet in July 2017.

 The last date to submit online and offline fee payment is:

• 2^nd and 5^th Jul, 2018

Date of Exam

• Online CBT will tentatively be held in September and October 2018. Candidates qualified and securing marks in the merit list (10 times of the category-wise vacancies notified) and in the CBT shall have to undergo Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Physical Measurement Test (PMT) and Document Verification (DV).
