In its recruitment process for 2018 the Indian Navy has released notification inviting applications from aspiring candidates for filling up of nearly 500 vacancies as given below:
Eligibility Conditions
Educational Qualification
Aspiring candidates should be 12th class pass from a recognised board with Mathematics and Physics as compulsory subjects along with any one of Chemistry/Biology/Computer science.
Age Limits
Candidates should be in the age group of 17 to 20 years. Relaxation as per government norms will be given to reserved category candidates.

Indian Navy Recruitment 2018 Selection Process
Candidates will be selected on the basis of Online recruitment examination followed by a physical fitness test and medical examination. The selected candidates will have to start training from August 2019 onwards.
Indian Navy Recruitment 2018 Paper Pattern
Online Examination
Paper will consist of 100 MCQ carrying one mark each. The test will be bilingual implying candidates can either attempt exam in Hindi or English
Indian Navy Recruitment 2018 Paper Syllabus
The question will be based on the subjects - English, science, mathematics and general knowledge at par with class 12 syllabus.
Marking Scheme
For every wrong answer, 0.25 marks will be deducted
Physical Fitness Test
The applicant will have to cover 1.6 kilometres in seven minutes times and perform 20 squats and 10 push-ups.
Pay Scale
The selected candidates will be given a stipend of Rs.14,600 per month while on training. On successful completion of the training candidates, an MSP of Rs 5200 plus group pay of Rs. 62,000 will be allotted to the candidates along with monthly DA.
