Indian Navy MR Recruitment 2021: Apply for Sailor Posts

The Indian Navy has released an official notification inviting applications from unmarried male candidates, who fulfill eligibility conditions as laid down by the Government of India, for enrolment as sailors MR for approximately 350 vacancies in the October 2021 batch.

Indian Navy MR Recruitment 2021: Eligibility Conditions:

Educational Qualification

• Candidates must have passed the matriculation examination from the Boards of School Education recognized by the Ministry of Education, Government of India.

Age Limit

• Candidate’s age should be between 01 Apr 2001 to 30 Sep 2004

Pay and Allowances

• During the initial training period, a stipend of Rs 14,600 per month will be admissible.
• On successful completion of initial training, they will be placed in Level 3 of the Defence Pay Matrix (Rs 21,700- Rs 69,100).
• In addition, they will be paid MSP at Rs 5200 per month plus DA (as applicable).

Selection Procedure

• Approximately 1750 candidates will be called up for written examination and PFT.
• The short-listing of the candidates for written examination and PFT will be undertaken on the basis of the percentage of qualifying examination i.e., 10th examination.
• The cut-off marks may vary from state to state as vacancies have been allocated in a state-wise manner.

Job Specifications

• Chef: Required to prepare food as per menu (both vegetarian and non-vegetarian, including handling of meat products) and accounting of rations
• Steward: Required to serve food in the officers' messes, as waiters, housekeeping, accounting of funds, wine and stores, preparation of the menu, etc
• Hygienist: Required to clean the washroom, shower spaces, and other areas
