The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission, UPSC has released an official notification inviting all the candidates for Assistant Director, Assistant Director (Weed Science), Research Officer (Implementation), and Senior Grade of Indian Information Service.

The online application process has started to fill a total of 46 vacancies.

Assistant Director - 3 Posts
Assistant Director (Weed Science) - 1 Post
Research Officer (Implementation)- 8 Posts
Senior Grade of Indian Information Service - 34 Posts

Assistant Director:

Education Qualification

Master's Degree in Chemistry with specialization in Inorganic or Organic or Analytical Chemistry or MSc (Agriculture) with specialization in Soil Science or Agriculture Chemistry of a recognized University or Institute recognized by the Central Government or State Government.

Note: Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the UPSC in the case of candidates otherwise well qualified.

Experience

Three years of experience in analytical work in the field of fertilizers.

Assistant Director (Weed Science):

Education Qualification

M.Sc Degree in Agricultural (Agronomy) with specialization in Weed Science or M.Sc Degree in Botany with Weed Science as a subject from a recognized university or institution

Note: Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the UPSC in the case of candidates otherwise well qualified.

Experience

Three years of practical experience in the field of Weed Science or Weed Control.

Senior Grade of Indian Information Service:

Education Qualification

Degree of a recognized university or institute.
Diploma/ Post-Graduate Diploma in Journalism/ Mass Communication from a recognized University/Institution or Degree in Journalism and Mass Communication from a recognized University/Institute
Candidates must have studied the Indian language up to 10th Class.

Note: Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the Commission for reasons to be recorded in writing, in case of a candidate otherwise well qualified.

Experience

Two years' experience of journalistic, publicity, or public relations works in a Government Department/ Public Sector Undertaking/ Autonomous Organization/ News Agency/ Newspaper registered with the Registrar of Newspapers of India/any other Listed Private Organizations.

Important:

Direct recruitment to the posts in the Senior Grade of IIS shall be made language-wise. There shall be no category-wise/community-wise reservation for any of the following languages-

Pay Scale

Assistant Director: As per 7th CPC- Level-10 (Rs 56100 - 177500) in the Pay Matrix
Senior Grade of Indian Information Service: Level-7 in the Pay Matrix with initial basic pay of Rs 44,900 (7thCPC).
Assistant Director (Weed Science): As per 7th CPC- Level-10 (Rs 56100 - 177500) in the Pay Matrix
Research Officer (Implementation): Level-7 (Rs 44900-142400) of the 7th CPC Pay Matrix.
