B.A. Hons. Urdu or Bachelor of Arts Honours in Urdu is an undergraduate Urdu language course. Urdu course covers the areas regarding Urdu literature: society, poetry, prose, drama, novels, grammar, etc. Urdu is a Central Indo-Aryan language and a register of the Hindustani language that is linguistically identified with Muslims in South Asia. It belongs to the Indo-European family. The duration of B.A. (Hons.) (Urdu) may be different from place to place and it may be provided on a part-time basis by certain institutes as well. The syllabus is divided into three parts and eight papers. Urdu graduate has a lot of career opportunities in courts and Urdu speaking business communities.
