BASLP or Bachelor in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology is an undergraduate Audiology program. Speech pathology, Language Pathology, and Audiology are all part of the Bachelor of Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology program. Linguistics, electronics, acoustics, psychology, and statistics are some of the related areas. Anatomy, Physiology, and Pathology are the core medical disciplines that lay the groundwork for clinical competence, whereas Otolaryngology, Neurology, and Paediatrics are the specialty medical subjects. The BASLP Programme will last six semesters (three academic years) and will include two semesters (one academic year) of internship. Each semester will consist of 16 weeks of study (excluding the time spent on each semester's final test).

Bachelor in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology Eligibility

  • The aspiring candidates must have passed their 2-year Pre-University examination conducted by the Pre-University Board of the State of Karnataka or any other examination (10+2) considered equivalent thereto by the University of Mysore.
  • Candidates who have obtained a minimum of 50% (45% in the case of SC/ST candidates) in the PCMB group or combinations thereof, in their PUC or qualifying examination are eligible for admission.
  • Only those applicants who have studied at least three subjects Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Mathematics shall be eligible for admission.
