M.Sc Genetics or Master of Science in Genetics is a Post-Graduate Genetics course. Genetics covers the discipline of biology, the science of genes, heredity, and variation in living organisms. Genetics deals with the molecular structure and function of genes, with gene behavior in the context of a cell or organism e.g., dominance and epigenetics, with patterns of inheritance from parent to offspring, and with gene distribution, variation, and change in populations.
The duration of the Master of Science course in Genetics is mostly two academic years but it varies from institute to institute. The University of Delhi is providing two years on a full-time basis. The minimum time to complete the course is two years. The syllabus for the Master of Science course Master of Science is divided into four semesters.
