M.Sc Medical Technology or Master of Science in Medical Technology is a Post-Graduate Medical Lab Technologist course. A program that prepares individuals to conduct and supervise complex medical tests, clinical trials, and research experiments, manage clinical laboratories and consult with physicians and clinical researchers on diagnoses, disease causation and spread, and research outcomes.
The Master of Science in Medical Technology course includes instruction in the theory and practice of hematology, clinical chemistry, microbiology, immunology, immunohematology, physiological relationships to test results, laboratory procedures and quality assurance controls, test and research design and implementation, analytic techniques, laboratory management, and personnel supervision, data development and reporting, medical informatics, and professional standards and regulations. The duration of the Master of Science course in Medical Technology is two years and its syllabus is divided into two semesters.
M.Sc Medical Technology Eligibility
Cardiac Care
- B.Sc degree in Medical Technology with Cardiac Technology as specialization or equivalent from a recognized university.
- Bachelor in Life Sciences from a recognized University or equivalent and diploma/certificate program in Cardiac Technology/minimum one year of work experience in the department of Cardiology from a reputed institute/related field.
- Bachelors in Medicine / Ayurveda / Homeopathy / Unani / Physiotherapy / Nursing from a recognized University or equivalent.
Respiratory Therapy
- B.Sc degree in Medical Technology with Respiratory Therapy as specialization or equivalent from a recognized university.
- Bachelor in Life Sciences from a recognized University or equivalent and diploma/certificate program in Respiratory Therapy / Technology/minimum one year of work experience in the Department of Respiratory Care from a reputed institute/related field.
- Bachelors in Medicine / Ayurveda / Homeopathy / Unani / Physiotherapy / Nursing from a recognized University or equivalent.
Medical Imaging
- B.Sc degree in Medical Technology with Imaging Sciences as specialization or equivalent from a recognized university.
- Bachelors in Physics or Life Sciences as major or equivalent from a recognized university with a diploma/certificate program in Medical Imaging/minimum one year of work experience in the Department of Radiology from a reputed institute/related field.
- Bachelors in Medicine / Ayurveda / Homeopathy / Unani from a recognized University or equivalent.
Clinical Laboratory
- B.Sc degree in Medical Technology with Clinical Laboratory Technology as specialization/Clinical Laboratory Science or equivalent from a recognized university.
- Bachelor in Life Sciences or equivalent from a recognized university with a diploma/certificate program in Clinical Laboratory/minimum one year of work experience in the department of the Clinical laboratory from a reputed institute/related field.
- Bachelors in Medicine / Ayurveda / Homeopathy / Unani from a recognized University or equivalent.
Dialysis & Renal Technology
- B.Sc degree in Medical Technology with Dialysis as specialization or equivalent from a recognized university.
- Bachelor in Life Sciences or equivalent from a recognized university with a diploma/certificate program in Dialysis/Renal Technology/minimum one year of work experience in the department of Dialysis / Renal Sciences from a reputed institute/related field.
- Bachelors in Medicine / Ayurveda / Homeopathy / Unani / Physiotherapy / Nursing from a recognized University or equivalent.
OT & Anaesthesia Technology
- B.Sc degree in Medical Technology with OT &/Anaesthesia as specialization or equivalent from a recognized university.
- Bachelor in Life Sciences or equivalent from a recognized university with a diploma/certificate program in OT / Anaesthesia Technology/minimum of one year of work experience in the department of OT / Anaesthesia Technology from a reputed institute/related field.
