M.Tech Communication Systems or Master of Technology in Communication Systems is a two-year Post-Graduate Electronics and Communication Engineering course. Communications technology combines the fields of information technology and telecommunications. The Master of Technology program in Communication Systems focuses on equipment, devices, and technologies that communicate voice, data, and multimedia information.

Students learn to design, operate, install, and service communications systems and equipment to meet the needs of businesses and other organizations. Programs have five fields of specialization: media studies, organizational communication, government communication, health communication, and identity and diversity in communication. The curriculum consists of core courses devoted to the design basics of VLSI systems, hardware description languages, and CAD tools. The elective courses in Communication Systems course are oriented toward imparting specialized knowledge and skills in the use of advanced VLSI design techniques for the different disciplines within Electrical Sciences.

M.Tech Communication Systems Eligibility

  • Aspiring students should have passed a BE / B.Tech degree or any other equivalent qualification in a relevant subject from a recognized University.
  • The candidates should have secured a minimum of 60% aggregate marks in their Bachelor's.
  • Some of the very reputed universities and colleges conduct entrance examinations for admission.

M.Tech Communication Systems Course Suitability

  • The Master of Technology course in Communication Systems is suitable to train students for exciting and successful careers in telecommunications systems engineering. Students should be able to design and supervise communication systems as simple as a point to point communication links to more complex heterogeneous networks.
  • The objective of this Communication Systems program is to equip professionals working in the areas of Telecom/software for the dynamic and continuous changes of the digital/analog world and thus be able to successfully participate in its future developments and research.
  • They should have an interest in communications equipment and satellite systems, the ability to perform physically and mentally under pressure, and can thrive in a team environment.

How is the M.Tech Communication Systems Course Beneficial?

  • It enables students to pursue a career in the measurement and control of complex industrial & electrical processes. Modules of this program train the student to plan, design, install, operate, control, and maintain complex systems that produce materials.
  • They can also join colleges/universities; after passing UGC-NET they can become a permanent lecturer.
  • After passing the Communication Systems course they can conduct stressed and unstressed network operations, and prepare the system and equipment-related forms and reports.
