M.Tech. Leather Technology or Master of Technology in Leather Technology is a postgraduate program. The course provides the opportunity to acquire and enhance technical skills related both to self-learning and to research appropriate to postgraduate study enabling students to make a critical appraisal of the technical basis and needs of the leather and associated industries; it develops the skills and flexibility necessary to discriminate between technical and entrepreneurial issues related to the successful management of commercial operations within the leather industry; learning occurs in an environment which encourages the development of intellectual inventiveness and ability in researching other advanced technologies relating these to the needs of the leather industry; on completion, students possess a critical awareness of the principles on which technologies and standards are based, so that new or unusual situations can be appraised and evaluated as and when they arise in employment situations.
