ELAT Exam 2024 - English Literature Admissions Test is a pre-interview admissions test of close reading skills and textual analysis. It is conducted for English undergraduate courses at the University of Oxford and English at the University of Cambridge.

The exam comprises one essay comparing two passages, focusing on elements such as:
ELAT will be held in the months of September/October (tentative).
There is no entry fee for ELAT but candidates may need to pay an administration fee.
ELAT will be conducted at the selected centres by the exam authority.
The best way to prepare for ELAT is to practise old year question papers and get used to them in the time available.
