MAT Exam 2022 - Mathematics Admissions Test is a subject-specific admission test for Under-Graduate courses in Mathematics, Computer Science and their joint degrees at the University of Oxford. Cambridge Assessment Admissions Testing is working with the University of Oxford to assist MAT.

MAT Exam 2020 was held on-
MAT consists of questions from the following subjects/topics.

Polynomials: The quadratic formula. Completing the square. Discriminant. Factorisation. Factor Theorem. |
Algebra: Simple simultaneous equations in one or two variables. The solution of simple inequalities. Binomial Theorem with a positive whole exponent. Combinations and binomial probabilities. | Integration: Indefinite integration is the reverse of differentiation. Definite integrals and the signed areas they represent. | Logarithms and powers: Laws of logarithms and exponentials. |
| Graphs: The graphs of quadratics and cubics. |
Geometry: Coordinate geometry and vectors in the plane. The equations of straight lines and circles. Basic properties of circles. Lengths of arcs of circles. |
Trigonometry: Solution of simple trigonometric equations. | Sequences and series: Sequences are defined iteratively and by formulae. |

Differentiation: Derivative of xa, including for fractional exponents. The derivative of ekx. The derivative of a sum of functions. Tangents and normal to graphs. Turning points. Second-order derivatives. Maxima and minima. Increasing and decreasing functions. Differentiation from first principles. |

MAT is both an objective type and written test for checking mathematical ability and aptitude questions from Computer Science.
The duration of the MAT is 2 hours and 30 minutes.
MAT Exam 2022 Dates
MAT will be held in the month of October/November.
How to Apply for MAT Exam 2022?
Aspiring candidates can register for MAT by visiting the office of the Exam Officer at Cambridge University. They can apply from open registered centres as well.
There is no fee for MAT if you are applying from the Cambridge Assessment Admissions Testing authority (CU). Candidates registering from other centres need to pay some administration fees.
