IES/ISS Exam 2024 - Indian Economic Services / Indian Statistical Services Exam acronym as IES/ISS is taken by the UPSC for the recruitment of various posts in central government organizations/departments wherever the services of economists and statistical professionals are required on a routine basis. It is a type of Civil Services Exam Paper.

IES/ISS Exam 2023 was held on-
Aspiring candidates must have obtained a Post-Graduate degree in Economics/Applied Economics/Business Economics/Econometrics. OR
Aspiring candidates must have obtained a Post-Graduate degree in Statistics/Mathematical Statistics/Applied Statistics from a recognized University/institution.
Aspiring candidates must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 30 years on the 1st of January, of the year he is taking the exam.
Reservations as per governmental norms are applicable regarding age limits and job vacancies.

Note: The Examination in all the subjects will be of conventional (Essay) type. The Question Papers will be set in English only.
Personality Test /Interview Candidates who are shortlisted in the Written Examination are required to appear for an Interview which carries a maximum of 200 marks.
Physically disabled persons are exempted from the payment of the fee. A physically disabled candidate claiming age relaxation/fee concession will be required by the Commission to submit along with their detailed application form, a certified copy of the certificate from a Government Hospital/Medical Board in support of his claim for being physically disabled.
Important: 'Postage Stamp' will in no case be accepted in lieu of ‘Central Recruitment Fee Stamp’.Fee sent through Indian Postal Orders, Bank Draft, Money Order, Crossed Cheque, Currency Notes or Treasury Challan, etc. will also not be accepted by the Commission
Note 1: Applications not accompanied by the prescribed Fee (Unless remission of Fee is claimed) shall be summarily rejected.
Note 2: Fee once paid shall not be refunded under any circumstances nor can the fee be held in reserve for any other examination or selection.
Note 3: If any candidate who took the Indian Economic Service/Indian Statistical Service Examination held in 2009 wishes to apply for admission to this examination, he must submit his application so as to reach the Commission’s Office by the prescribed date without waiting for the results or an offer of appointment.
Indian Economics Services/Indian Statistical Services will be held in the month of October.
The IES/ISS Exam is held every year in the main cities of India.
