IISER Aptitude Test 2023 Eligibility

Educational Qualification

• Students passed class XII in 2020 or appearing in 2021 in the science stream with either: 
• Marks above or equal to the cut-off percentage declared by DST (http://www.inspire-dst.gov.in) as eligibility for INSPIRE fellowship.
• For OBC (Non-Creamy layer)/PD category candidates, there is a 5% relaxation in the DST cut-off. The cut-off for SC/ST candidates is 55% in class XII for all boards OR
• Advisory note for the eligibility for Scholarship for Higher Education (SHE) under INSPIRE scheme based only on the performance in the Class XII board examination

Note: Students applying through State and Central Boards channel will be required to appear and qualify for the IISER Aptitude Test. 

Imp: Candidates satisfying at least one of the following two criteria are eligible to apply for admission to the Five Year BS-MS Dual Degree program without the IISER Aptitude Test.

IISER Aptitude Test 2023 Pattern

• IISER Aptitude Test is an Online i.e., Computer-based Test (CBT).
• The exam pattern of IISER 2021 comprises 4 subjects; Physics, Chemistry, Maths, and Biology.
• Each section has 15 Multiple Choice Questions and the time duration for all the sections is 180 minutes.
• Every correct response fetches (+3) marks and a (-1) mark is deducted for an incorrect response.
• No marks are deducted for unattempted responses.
