INAT 2025 Eligibility

Educational Qualification

Aspiring candidates should have appeared or completed M.Sc (Physics / Electronics / Astronomy / Applied Mathematics) or B.E, B.Tech, M.E, and M.Tech degree (any branch) degrees by 1st August 2021 with an aggregate of 55% marks. Or
Meritorious students in final year B.Sc, 1st-year M.Sc (Physics, Electronics / Astronomy / Applied Mathematics), Integrated M.Sc (2nd/3rd year), and 2nd/3rd-year B.E / B.Tech (any branch), are eligible.

INAT 2025 Syllabus

The exam consists of questions from the following subjects/topics.

Part-I
Basic Mathematics	Electronics	Physics
Part-II
Advanced Physics	Electronics / Engineering	Mathematics

INAT 2025 Pattern

IUCAA NCRA 2025 Entrance Exam consists of a written exam followed by an interview as given below:

The entrance exam question paper will be divided into two parts.

The first part contains 20 objective-type questions on basic Mathematics, Physics, and Electronics.
The second part contains another 20 objective-type questions from Advanced Physics, Mathematics, and Electronics / Engineering.

The written examination duration will be of 2 hours. The final selection is based on the scores in the written test and interviews.

Note: Every correct answer fetches 3 marks and for a wrong answer, there will be a one-mark deduction i.e. negative marking.

The entrance exam is normally held in the month of January.
