NIMHANS Nursing Entrance Exam 2024 Eligibility  

Educational Qualification

For B.Sc Nursing (4 years)

• Aspiring candidates should be taken the Pre-University exam conducted by the Department of Pre-University or higher secondary school certificate examination (12 years course), or senior school certificate examination, a Pre-degree exam (10+2), or an equivalent with 12 years of Schooling from a recognized Board or University (with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English with a minimum of 45% aggregate).

B.Sc Radiography (3 years)

• Aspiring candidates should have taken the Pre-University examination conducted by the Department of Pre-University, or an equivalent exam recognized by the NIMHANS, Bangalore, Job oriented diploma course from a recognized Board with Diagnostic Radiography as vocational subject or equivalent (with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English with a minimum of 45% aggregate).

For B.Sc Anaesthesia Technology (3 years)

• Aspiring candidates should have passed in two-year Pre-University exam or equivalent with a Science group that has secured an aggregate of 45% in Science subjects (40% in the case of SC/ST candidates).

For M.Sc in Psychiatric Nursing

• Aspiring candidates should be Registered Nurse & midwives with any State Nursing Registration Council with a minimum passing of B.Sc Nursing / B.Sc (Hons.) Nursing / Post Basic B.Sc Nursing with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks from an Institute recognized by INC with a minimum of one-year experience after Basic B.Sc Nursing as on the day of counseling.

Age Limits

• The age of candidates for all B.Sc courses should be between a minimum of 17 years and a maximum of 25 years as of 01st August 2024.
• No age limit for M.Sc in Psychiatric Nursing Course

Note: Candidate shall be medically fit; 55% of marks in aggregate in the qualifying exam; 50% in case of SC/ST Candidates for M.Sc Course
