AWES OAT 2024/AWES WAT 2024 - Army Welfare Education Society Online Admission Test is conducted by the Society to provide admission to desired candidates to various courses such as:

  • Admission to ACDS (Army College of Dental Sciences (for both BDS and MDS) will be based on the NEET and AIIMS PG Exam.
  • Admission to AIT (Army Institute of Technology) will be based on JEE Exam.

AWES OAT 2024 Eligibility

Educational Qualification

1. For Army Institute of Education (AIE)

Educational Qualification

  • Aspiring candidates should be graduates (except Commerce) with a minimum of 45% aggregate marks.

Age Limits

  • Below 35 years as of 01 Aug 2023.  

2. For Army College of Dental Sciences(ACDS)

  • For BDS: 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English with 50% marks in aggregate.
  • For MDS: BDS and must have permanent registration with the state dental council. 

Age Limits

  • There is no age limit 

3. Eligibility for Army College of Nursing (ACN)

For B.Sc. Nursing

  • Aspiring candidates should have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry Biology, and English with a minimum of 45% aggregate mark for ACN only.

Age Limits

  • Between 17-25 years of age at the time of the exam.

4. Eligibility for Army Institute of Nursing (AIN), Guwahati

For B.Sc Nursing

  • Aspiring candidates should have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks.

Age Limits

  • Between 17-25 years of age at the time of the exam.

5. Eligibility for Army Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology (AIHM & CT)

For BHM Program

  • Aspiring candidates should have passed 10+2 with English as a compulsory subject.

Age Limits

  • Below 22 years of age at the time of the exam.

6. Eligibility for Army Institute of Technology (AIT)

For B.Tech. program in Mechanical, Electronics & Tele Communication, Computer Engineering, and Information Technology:

  • Candidates should have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry & Maths with min 50% aggregate.

7. Army Institute of Fashion & Design (AIFD)

For B.Sc. Program

Educational Qualification

  • Aspiring candidates should have passed 10+2 in any stream

For PG Program

  • Aspiring candidates should have passed any degree with 50% marks

8. Army College of Medical Sciences (ACMS)

For MBBS program

  • Students should have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English individually and a minimum of 50% marks together in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.

Note: Candidates appearing in the qualifying examination are also eligible to apply.

Other Eligibility Conditions

The applicants must fall into one of the following categories;

  • Wards of serving Army personnel with a minimum of 10 years continuous service in the Army;
  • Wards of ex-Army personnel granted/awarded regular pension, liberalized family pension, family pension, or disability pension at the time of their superannuation, demise, discharge, release medical board/invalided medical board. This includes wards of recruits medically boarded out and granted disability pension;
  • Wards of ex-army personnel who have taken discharge/release after ten years of service;

Adopted/stepchildren and children of remarried widows, 

  • Adopted child of Army personnel who completed 10 years’ service, adopted at least five years prior to seeking admission
  • Stepchildren are eligible provided they are born out of a wedding where at least one parent belonged to the Army and completed 10 years’ service
  • Children of widows of Army personnel who are born as a result of a second marriage with army personnel. However, children of widows of Army personnel born out of remarriage with non-Army personnel would not be eligible for admission

Eligibility Criteria in Special Cases

  • Eligibility criteria forwards of Ex-Army Medical corps officers/Army Dental Corps officers presently serving with Indian army/Indian Air Force; wards of only those ex-Army Medical Corps/Army Dental Corps Officers presently serving with Indian Navy or Indian Air Force who have served with the Army for 10 years

Eligibility Criteria for Children of APS Personnel

  • Children of APS personnel classified as ex-servicemen as per Govt of India, Ministry of Defence letter no. 9(52)/88/D(Res) dated 19 July 1989;
  • Children of that APS personnel who are on deputation and who have put in 10 years of service in the army;
  • Children of APS personnel, who are directly recruited into APS who have completed 10 years of service and of those who as per their terms and conditions of service, retired from APS without reversion to the P&T Department after completing their minimum pensionable service of which 10 years was in the Army

Eligibility Criteria for Children of MNS/TA Personnel

  • Children of only those members of MNS who have 10 years’ service as regular Army MNS officer or are in receipt of the pension from the Army;
  • Children of only those TA personnel who have completed 10 years of embodied service.

 

AWES OAT 2024 Syllabus

AWES WAT consists of questions from the relevant subjects of the qualifying class along with reasoning, General Knowledge and Mental Aptitude of them. For more details about the syllabus, candidates can visit The Society’s website i.e. www.awesindia.com/

 

AWES OAT 2024 Pattern

AWES WAT paper pattern will comprise the following format as given below.

Pattern for Master of Dental Surgery

  • The test paper will consist of 150 objective-type multiple-choice questions.  The standard of the test shall be that of the BDS course. 
  • The minimum marks required to qualify in the Written Admission Test shall be 75.

Pattern for Bachelor of Dental Surgery

The question papers consist of 110 objective types (multiple choices) questions in the following format: -

  • Biology (Botany & Zoology) (37 questions)
  • Physics & Chemistry (combined 73 questions)

Pattern for Bachelor of Education

The question paper will consist of 150 objective-type test items to be responded to by the candidates in the allocated duration of 3 hrs. The medium of the test shall be English only. No negative marking will be done. The test will have the following components: -

  • Intelligence and Reasoning Test
  • General Awareness Test
  • English Language Competency & Comprehension Test
  • Education/Aptitude for Teaching Test

Pattern for Fashion Designing courses

The Paper will consist of 100 Marks objective type test items to be responded to by the candidates in the allocated duration of three hours. The medium of the test shall be English only.  No negative marking will be done. The test will have the following components: -

  • Intelligence and Reasoning Test
  • General Awareness Test
  • English Language Competency & Comprehension Test

Pattern for Bachelor of Science in Nursing

The paper will be of 2 hours duration containing 3 subjects. The test paper will consist of 110 multiple choice questions in the following format.

  • Part I: Physics and Chemistry (73 questions)
  • Part II: Biology (Zoology & Botany) (37 Questions)

 

How to Apply for AWES OAT 2024 Exam?

To obtain the prospectus and application form, send the bank draft in favor of the concerned Institution directly, payable at the station where the institution is located.

The application form can also be downloaded from the website of the institute i.e. www.awesindia.com

The prospectus is also available at HQ AWES and HQs Command (AWES Cell) through demand draft only in favour of the institute concerned Submitting of application will be by hand or by registered post to concerned institute/college

Note: Final-year candidates may appear provisionally.
