Educational Qualification
For M.Ed (Regular) 1-year course
- Aspiring candidates should have a minimum of 55% in B.Ed (50% in the case of SC/ST & BC candidates).
- Qualifying marks for the Entrance Test are 20% (15% in the case of SC/ST, BC, and blind candidates).
For M.Ed (through Correspondence) 2-Year course
- Besides the above-given eligibility M.Ed (through Correspondence) the course is only for in-service teachers, with two years of paid work experience, in a school recognized by a Board of School Education established by law, or in a College affiliated to or recognized by a university (part-time experience shall also be counted towards teaching experience if the teaching was done as paid teaching) and are working at the time of admission i.e. in-service at the time of admission.
Note
The candidates who are appearing/appearing in the B.Ed examination of any recognized University are also eligible provisionally to take the M.Ed Entrance Test conducted by Panjab University.
The candidates who have passed/appeared in the qualifying examination from any of the following universities (declared as fake by the UGC) are ineligible to appear in the Entrance Tests, as these institutions have been derecognized by the Panjab University.

Aspiring candidates can apply for PU M.Ed Entrance Exam Online Only by following the below-given steps.
- The online Application Form for the Entrance Test is available on the Panjab University website.
- The fee to be deposited for the online application form for the General category (Rs. 1500) and SC/ST category (Rs. 750) is different.
- Before depositing the fee for the online form the candidate is required to register online, submit information on the website and generate the Bank Challan.
- Candidates are required to deposit a fee in any branch of the State Bank of India using website generated challan.
- After depositing, fee candidates are required to submit fee details (journal no.; branch code and date of deposit of fee given by Bank) and upload a photograph, and signature with the rest of the information on the official website.
