Territorial Army Exam 2024 – Territorial Army Exam acronym TA Exam is conducted for enabling motivated young men to serve in a military environment without having to sacrifice their primary professions in two capacities ie. as a civilian and a soldier. The selected candidates are given one month of basic training in the first year of commission. Two months of annual training camp every year including the first year. Three months post-commissioning training within the first two years at IMA Dehradun.

Educational Qualifications

• Aspiring candidates should have completed a bachelor's degree from any recognized university.

Employment

• The aspiring candidate should be Gainfully employed in Central Government/Semi-Government/Pvt Firm/Own Business/Self Employed.

Note: Serving employees of Police/Para Military Forces are not eligible.

Age Limit

• Aspiring candidates should be between 18 years to 42 years of age at the time.

Important: Overwriting an objective and filling in the blanks will not be awarded any marks. Half marks will be deducted for each wrong answer. (Negative Marking).

Territorial Army Exam Selection Process

• On the basis of correct applications, shortlisted candidates will be called for Screening at the respective headquarters of the Territorial Army by a Preliminary Interview Board (PIB) including the written exam.
• They have to submit a detailed Resume, present employment details, and salary along with all the attested documents which are attached to the original application form.
• Applications of candidates, who will successfully complete this stage of selection, will be forwarded to Service Selection Board for SSB Interview.
• Candidates also have to go through the Medical Board for final selection. 

How to apply for Territorial Army Exam 2023?

For Civilian Candidates

Aspiring candidates can apply for Territorial Army in the prescribed format given in the advertisement cut-outs or by downloading the application from the official website www.indianarmy.gov.in. 

They should complete the application in all respect as per the guidance given in the form. Applicants should send this application to respective zonal office addresses along with the self-addressed stamped envelope, two passport-size photos, and a postal stamp of Rs. 12 and Rs. 25 for J & K. For Ex-Servicemen

Ex-service Officers of three services as a candidate should send their application along with enclosures as mentioned in the application form direct to Addl Directorate General TA, Integrated HQ of MoD (Army), ‘L’ Block, New Delhi-01. The candidates are screened by an Army HQ Selection Board held at Addl Date. Gen TA, GS Branch, ’L’ Block, Church Road, New Delhi which is followed by a Medical Board in New Delhi for successful candidates.
