The PGP College of Arts and Science was Established in 1994. It is Affiliated to Periyar University - Salem, Re-Accredited by NAAC, Recognized by 2 (f) & 12B by UGC and Approved by AICTE, New Delhi.

The college strives to educate the students well in their chosen discipline and side by side develop their personality and communication skills so that they are employable in today’s dynamic job market. More broadly, the college’s mission is to challenge students to think for themselves and to think critically. On a practical level, critical thinking means the habitual use of analytical skills, organizational ability, creativity and imagination. So that students will need to become productive members of an increasingly better educated work force.

Research on areas of their study is promoted and encouraged with collaborative efforts of the faculty. Students are also motivated and supported by the college and faculty to do project in a creative manner and on areas of use to the society.

Our college was situated in a sprawling area of about 200 acres with well equipped laboratories, spacious and ventilated class rooms and play ground. Our institution possess with highly educated and friendly faculty members.

Our motto is to develop the students a good citizen. We highly impose on discipline and academic. Every academic year our students are getting University Gold Medals and Ranks.

By promoting the College into an institution of excellence, which will serve the rural youth by providing them with easy access to higher education and job opportunities. The college will strive towards integrated personality, growth of rural student in particular and students at large in which special attention is given to their intellectual, moral and cultural development. It will inculcate discipline, higher levels of culture and time values of life among the youth.
