Manda Institute of Technology, Bikaner as the name goes is primarily an institute of engineering and technology. Abbreviated as MIT, Bikaner it was established in 2005. Shri Ram Gopal Manda envisioned and directed the establishment of this institution in order to provide quality education in the field of engineering and technology in backward Manda. MIT, Bikaner is spread over an area of 28 acres of land and is managed by Manda Institute of Technology Society (MITS). Manda Institute of Technology is a member of MSDN-AA. MSDN-AA stands for Microsoft Developer Network-Academic Alliance. As an MSDN member latest set of Microsoft platform and developer's tools are available for all the Students at no cost. Students are able to obtain Microsoft software at no cost with a license that never expires even after the students graduate. These software’s are also installed in the lab machines in MIT. Basically Developer Academic Alliance (Developer AA) membership, formerly known as MSDN AA, provides the easiest and most inexpensive way for universities to make the latest Microsoft software available in labs, classrooms, and on student PCs. Developer AA is an annual membership for departments that use technology in support of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) courses.

Hostel - MIT provides separate hostel accommodation for boys and girls with single seated rooms. The rooms are spacious, well ventilated and furnished with modern amenities. Other facilities include common rooms, hostel mess, indoor/ outdoor games, reading rooms and T.V. Rooms.
Smart Class - A digital initiative of MIT, it provides visuals and animations which enable easy learning of difficult and abstract concepts. This also makes learning an enjoyable experience for students while improving their overall academic performance in college. Smartclass also enables teachers to instantly assess and evaluate the learning achieved by their students in class.
Library and Book Bank – The MIT library has more than 20,000 volumes covering about 3,500 titles of books. The library subscribes to 30 international and national journals. The Library is spacious and runs according to open access system. The Library runs on LIBSYS Software and the various facilities available include DELNET, LAN, WAN, internet Connectivity, Book Bank, Photo Stat etc.
Transportation - The institute provides transport services regularly between campus and the city. Institute shuttles are available to the students for commuting from various points in the city to the institute.
TFWS – It stands for Tuition fee Waiver Scheme and is applicable to sons and daughters of parents whose annual income is less than 1.5 lakh per annum. Three seats in each branch, on the basis of merit, have been reserved under this scheme. The waiver is for all 4 years.
For New Entrants |
Student who has got 85% and above in (10 + 2) exam would be entitled for Rs 1000/-p.m. scholarship. Students who have got between 80% and 85% in (10 + 2) exam would be entitled for Rs 750/-p.m. scholarship. |
For MITians |
Students who get between 75% and 85% in any semester exam would be entitled for Rs 750/-p.m. scholarship. |
For University Position Holders |
Student who stands first in the RTU examination in any semester would be given the prize of Rs 21,000/- |
On Attendance Basis |
Scholarship of 750/m for students who maintain attendance between 85%-95% throughout the academic year. |
N.B.: MIT provides helping hands in form of financial support to the students who belong to poor family background.
*These scholarships are not applicable for Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme, Engineering with Industrial and Job Oriented Programs and Earn While Learn Program.
Training and Placement Cell – The placement cell coordinates with the corporate sector and provides well-developed infrastructure to facilitate the campus selection programmes. The cell maintains ongoing and mutually beneficial relationships with recruiters and also prepares candidates to face the competitive world.
Industrial/Educational Tours - to impart practical knowledge the various departments of Manda Institute of Technology often organizes industrial/educational tours to provide an insight into the working of various industries.
Laboratories – Each department has their own respective laboratories.
Some of these are:
Cafeteria – The institute has a spacious and hygienic cafeteria which provides food at subsidized rates. Monthly Mess facility is also being provided to the students as well as the staff members.
Sports - MIT offers wide range of outdoor games like cricket, football, basket ball, volley ball, kho-kho, kabbadi and badminton. Facilities for field events such as 400 meters track, high jump, long jump, shot put, discus and javelin etc are also available. The institute also has provisions for indoor games like carom, chess and table tennis.
Meditation Temple - MIT has a Meditation Temple in the campus with the most appropriate and natural surroundings to provide students a blend of technical education with spiritualism.
Pallav – Pallav is the annual day celebration of MIT students. It is celebrated in the month of March-April every year with real pomp and show. It celebrates the budding talent of MITians in the myriad fields of academics, culture, sports etc.
Scout and Guide - Scout and guide develops the quality of self-discipline among the rovers and ranges and inculcates in them the feelings of sacrifice, broth hood, equality and social service.
FDP - Faculty Development Programme is conducted annually. It equips teachers with efficient teaching skills that are essential for imparting knowledge competently and inculcating values in students. The program also updates faculty’s research and pedagogical skills, developing communication, inter personal skills, creativity and problem solving attitude.
