About Vivekananda Degree College

Vivekananda Degree College (VDC) was established in 1982 and is affiliated to Bangalore University. It is recognised by the government of Karnataka and is managed by Janatha Education Society. Sometimes referred as Vivekananda College it shouldn’t be confused with similar named institutes elsewhere. To distinguish it with other similar named institutes check for the address and alternative names of the college which are - Vivekananda Degree College of Arts, Science, Commerce, Management and Post Graduate Studies and another name - Vivekanada Degree College, Rajajinagar. The college runs several degree courses in Electronics, Computer Science, Arts, Science, Commerce and Management. It also runs post-graduate courses in Economics and Business Administration. As of 2014, eighteen faculty members hold Ph.D. degree and twelve faculty members hold M.Phil degree and do research for Ph.D. degree.
